No. Anxiety responds to several approaches. Medication helps some people, skills and therapy help others, and many do best with a combination. We start by understanding what's driving it, then build the plan with you.
Cautiously, and rarely as a first or long-term solution. Many effective anxiety medications aren't controlled and are safer for ongoing use. If a controlled medication is ever appropriate, we explain the tradeoffs and the rules that apply in your state before prescribing.
