Insurance-based care in New Jersey.

Most adults in New Jersey are seen by Katherine Halpern, PMHNP-BC, our Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Children and adolescents see Dr. Ramy. Care is insurance based and scheduled promptly during business hours: responsive and personal, with the structure that insurance-based care requires.

Your New Jersey care team

In New Jersey, who you see depends on your age and what you need. Children and adolescents under eighteen are seen by Dr. Ramy. Most adults are seen by Katherine Halpern, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with deep experience across critical care and psychiatry. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol or opioid use is provided by Dr. Ramy; Katherine doesn't provide MAT. Both offer the same thoughtful, individualized care, so this is about the right fit for your situation, and we confirm who you'll see on your intake call. You can read more about Katherine on her bio page.

How insurance works here

We're in the credentialing process with Horizon BCBS NJ, Aetna NJ, and Cigna / Evernorth NJ. Until each panel finalizes, New Jersey patients receive an out-of-network superbill to submit for partial reimbursement, which lets you start care now rather than waiting. We confirm your specific plan and current status on your intake call. See the full fees and insurance page for details.

A note on adult ADHD in New Jersey. New Jersey is telehealth only for us, and the rules require an in-person relationship before an adult can be prescribed a stimulant. For that reason we do not provide adult ADHD stimulant treatment in New Jersey. Children and adolescents under eighteen can be treated for ADHD, including stimulants, entirely by secure video with a parent or guardian's written consent. Adults who need stimulant treatment for ADHD can be seen in California.
